Annual Support Community Enrollment Fee

A $100 Annual Family Fee for enrollment in the 2025/26 LAF Support Community is posted to RETURNING family accounts, once their 25/26 Support Community Admissions Application is approved (please note that there are two separate LAF Admissions Applications this year: the Support Community Application and the Co-op Application). 

NEW FAMILIES whose Support Community Applications are approved and have paid the family enrollment fee will be officially added to the community at the beginning of June (the official start of the new year). However, in order to be eligible to register for Co-op classes when registration opens to the public in May, they will need to fill out the LAF Co-op Application and be approved.

  • Paid by 6/30/25  = $105
  • Paid by 7/31/25  = $110
  • Paid by 8/31/25  = $115
  • Paid by 9/30/25  = $120

Families Enrolled During 2024/25 

  • Paid by 5/31/25 = $120

Once an account is created and all of your information is entered into the Parent Portal for enrollment in the Support Community, you must log out and then LOG BACK INTO your Parent Portal account to pay the family enrollment fee.

Every family must keep a VALID payment form on file in their Parent Portal at all times.

This fee must by paid no later than July 15, 2025.

CO-OP REGISTRATION Fee

All Co-op families will receive a one-time $25 Co-op Registration Fee per registered student no matter how many classes that student is taking. 

This fee is non-refundable and must be paid no later than July 15, 2025 to hold your child’s spot in the LAF Co-op.

You understand that if the Co-op Registration Fees are not paid in full by July 15, 2015, the payment will be charged to your payment method on file. If the payment is declined, your child will lose his/her spot in the Co-op, unless other arrangements have been made in advance with the LAF Treasurer.

class lab/Supply Fees

Class Lab/Supply Fees are non-refundable and must be paid no later than July 15, 2025 to hold your child’s spot in the LAF Co-op. 

You understand that if the Class Lab/Supply Fees are not paid in full by July 15, 2015, the payment will be charged to your payment method on file. If the payment is declined, your child will lose his/her spot in the Co-op, unless other arrangements have been made in advance with the LAF Treasurer.

class TUITION Fees
Pricing Schedules

We know that many families use the Step Up Scholarship to pay for Learning and Families Co-op, and that all fees and tuition must be paid on or after July 1, 2025 to be reimbursed for the 2025/26 year. Historically, LAF has required 50% of tuition to paid at the time of registration. This has been a necessary means of securing the coming year for our Co-op and covering the many early costs of running the Co-op. 

This year, to help accommodate families using the Scholarship, we are requiring that all Support Community Enrollment Fees, Co-op Registration Fees, and Class Lab/Supply Fees be paid in full no later than July 15, 2025.

In addition, we have instituted a new Pricing Schedule that offers Early Bird Discounts for families who are able to pay tuition before July 1, 2025. 

Each Co-op Day has a different Pricing Schedule to accommodate the different types and lengths of classes being offered. To view these schedules, click on the links for the three different Co-op Days.

 
Pushed Payments

You understand that unless you make specific payment arrangements with the LAF Treasurer, outstanding tuition and fees will be charged to the credit card on file within five days of the final payment option (August 31, 2025). 

We encourage families to respond promptly when contacted by the Treasurer and to communicate with the Treasurer if there is an extenuating circumstance. Silence can appear like avoidance. If you know you have a balance, be proactive and communicate with the Treasurer. Not responding to the Treasurer could result in a meeting with the Board and potential removal from the LAF Co-op.

 

Step Up Scholarship Reimbursement

Although LAF is not currently a direct provider of the Step Up Program, many of our families use the scholarship to pay LAF fees and tuition.

Once your balance is paid in full, you are welcome to contact the LAF Treasurer and request a specialized invoice for each child receiving the scholarship. There is a $25 fee for each invoice that we create. This fee must be paid in full before invoices are created.

Please know that our Treasurer will work with your family to provide all the information that Step Up (including the PEP and the UA scholarships) requires. We have not had difficulty with families being reimbursed using our specialized invoices. However, LAF is not responsible for invoices being accepted or denied. Reimbursement decisions are at the sole discretion of the Step Up staff.

miscellaneous charges

Families are encouraged to log into their Parent Portal monthly to pay any outstanding balances for merchandise, t-shirts, pizza, etc. You understand that the Treasurer will push payments at the end of each month for any unpaid fees accrued throughout the month.

If LAF is charged an overdraft fee due to an account having insufficient funds when charged, LAF will bill the family’s account $35 for the bank fee.

Class Transfer policy

Families may transfer students from one class to another. However, fees and restrictions apply. In addition, transfers are only permissible if space is available in the class in which the student is transferring.

On or Before June 30

Within any given family, one transfer of one student from one class to another will be permitted without a transfer fee. The second transfer request within that family will be assessed a $25 fee. Any transfer request within the family thereafter will be assessed a $50 transfer fee.


On or After July 1

Within any given family, one transfer of one student from one class to another will be permitted for a $25 fee. Any transfer request within the family thereafter will be assessed a $50 transfer fee.

Please be advised that any transfers on or after June 1 will also include the full lab/supply fee for the class being transferred out of as well as the lab/supply fees for the class being transferred into.
