Do you fully understand that we are not a school or church program, and as such, we are not equipped to manage custody disputes, major disciplinary issues, mental health challenges, threats of violence, or potential child abuse (from an adult or another child)? In any circumstance that we are not equipped or feel we need support/guidance from the appropriate authorities, we will always default to seeking that guidance and reporting as necessary. Do you understand that if you join our community, every member of our leadership team and all of our facilitators are mandated reporters? If there are reports of any kind of abuse or threats of harm, we will not investigate claims before contacting the appropriate authorities. *

Have you read our definitions for rude, mean, and bullying as listed on our website (learningandfamilies.org/code-of-conduct/)? Do you understand and accept that LAF leadership uses these definitions to determine whether or not the word "bullying" is appropriate in a given situation? Our focus is on providing a safe learning environment, however, we are not equipped to thoroughly investigate accusations of these behaviors. If there is a report of bullying that fits this definition, we may ask parents on only one or both sides to sit in on all classes, attend events and activities, and otherwise remain with their student throughout the day without any kind of deep investigation. All decisions are at the full discretion of the Board of Directors and are final. *
