DESCRIPTION:Come explore the Florida Museum of Natural History and Butterfly Rainforest in Gainesville! This is the perfect addition to LAF’s Junior Co-op Flying Creatures theme this school year. However\, this trip is open to all families enrolled in the LAF Support Community. \nPlease read the complete description below before purchasing tickets. \nBabies 0 – 2 years old are FREE. Please email president@learningandfamilies.org with the total number of babies attending. \nThis is the perfect addition to LAF’s Flying Creatures theme this school year. The Butterfly Rainforest is a can’t-miss living exhibit that features hundreds of free-flying butterflies and birds from around the world along with an assortment of other animals\, including turtles and fish\, to experience firsthand. Our trip will include: \n\nThe Butterfly Rainforest\nNorthwest Florida waterways and wildlife\nLibrary of Life\nFlorida Fossils\nSouth Florida\nOur Energy Future\nDiscovery Zone\n\nCost (Includes Butterfly Rainforest Admission) *Click links to purchase tickets \n\nKids 0 – 2 years old FREE (email president@learningandfamilies.org with total number of babies attending)\nStudents (ages 3 – 17 ) $12\nAdults (ages 18 and up ) $18\n\nMeeting Place \n\nWe will meet just outside the “Museum” entrance\nPlease look for the sign that says\, “LAF Check-In”\n\nFood \n\nThere is no place in the plaza for families to purchase food. DESCRIPTION:Come have some fall-time fun with us at Hunsader Farms! This is one of my favorite trips of the year! We will get our own buggy tour around the farm. This guided tour will allow us to see many different animals\, crops\, vegetable fields\, and more! Then we will enjoy the petting zoo and feed deer\, ducks\, emus\, bunnies\, pigs\, geese\, sheep\, goats\, miniature donkeys\, miniature ponies\, alpacas\, and more. After this\, the kids can play on a large playground and we can all enjoy a picnic lunch together (pack a lunch for this part). Sometimes we stay all afternoon and enjoy each other’s company while the kids play! At the end of the day\, each child will leave with a small plant.\n\nAll participants must wear a green LAF Field Trip shirt.\nThis is not a drop off event; a parent or guardian must be present the entire duration of the field trip.\nALL SALES ARE FINAL – There are NO REFUNDS unless a trip is canceled due to weather or not meeting the minimum number of participants.

DESCRIPTION:When: Friday\, Nov. 17th\, 9:30 am \nWhere: 4415 119th Street W.\, Cortez (Bradenton) FL 34215 \nCost: $2 per child \nWe will be exploring all things maritime and history. Different stations will be set up for the kids\nto learn. After we finish at the Maritime Museum\, we will walk down to the Cultural Center which\nis filled with local history from the Cortez Fishing Village. If you would like\, bring a picnic lunch to\nenjoy after the field trip – they have a pavilion outside with picnic tables where you can sit. Only\nwater is permitted in the buildings. Wear closed toe shoes for walking– we will be walking\nthrough a field from the Maritime Museum to the Cultural Center.

DESCRIPTION:Cost $12.00 per child and $10.00 per adult. Glazer does not accept memberships or Play Day passes for field trips.\nAll families need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the field trip time to make sure everyone is present. Which will make our check in much faster and smoothly.\nThe Exhibit that will be happening during the time of out field trip is based on the children’s books series Ada Twist the Scientist by Andrea Beaty and the Netflix Series Ada Twist the Scientist.\nPlease keep in mind that parking is on a first-come\, first-served basis. Any parents or chaperones driving their own vehicles will be directed to nearby parking garages or lots. Please note that the parking garage is owned by the City of Tampa\, and they may close the garage or change rates without notifying the museum.\nAfter the field trip has ended you are able to head on over to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park to have lunch. If multiple families are wanting to plan lunches at the park\, we will need to plan ahead so we can have one cooler for those lunches to be storage within the museum while on field trip.
